Mission: I believe that humans can find better ways to coexist with the ocean, and have devoted my career to making this possible. My scientific research, following the motion of pollutants and microscopic organisms through the marine environment, has directly affected a number of coastal management decisions. My teaching and educational research promote and measure students' ability to make informed decisions about the ocean.

Objectives in Education: Through Ocean And You, I am now offering in-class field trips, after school enrichment, adult education and storytelling. I am working to expand my client base while also building local collaborations.
